Sarah is currently busy making her new work Both Universe which will premiere in London on the 27th May. GCF will be hosting a one off performance of the production in Bradford on Thursday 2nd June. We are very excited about supporting this new work and here is a list of the exceptional artists who will be performing alongside Sarah.
Dancer Thomasin Gulgek won the critics circle award for outstanding male dancer (modern) in 2010 for his role in Christopher Bruce’s Hush. In 2011 he worked with film director Joe Wright and choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkoui on the movie Anna Karenina. Thomasin also performed with Akram Khan in the London 2012 opening ceremony. He has most recently worked with Douglas Thorpe’s Mad Dogs Dance Theatre in the piece Dogs Land.
Musician Mark Sanders is a highly experienced percussionist who has performed and recorded worldwide. He has played with renowned artists Evan Parker, Bill Laswell and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, Womad, Vancouver, Isle of Wight, Roskilde and many more.
Mezzo Soprano Lore Lixenburg has previously collaborated with Sarah for an exhibition and performance of work at the Beirut Exhibition Centre, Lebanon. Lore has performed worldwide in major festivals and with opera companies including Tokyo PO, Danish National and London Sinfonietta. She has also performed with Phoenix Dance Theatre.
