The Geraldine Connor Foundation (GCF) supports the development of talent from different artforms and cultures. It is important for artists to develop their business and communication skills alongside their own creative development.

This is why we’ve teamed up with The Prince’s Trust, who will deliver their three-day Enterprise programme alongside two days of creative workshops led by GCF. This full week of activity will provide emerging artists with practical and helpful advice that will help develop professional and practical skills crucial for working in the creative sector.

The staff and volunteers from The Trust have specialist knowledge on setting up a business and managing being self-employed. Learn how to improve your CV, fund your creative projects, and budget responsibly. There is also room in the week to gain feedback on your new work, as well as space to explore creative ideas and collaborate with other emerging artists. There is even the potential to gain startup funds if you have a good creative business idea!

“The course really made me think about my future career from a different perspective, understanding it as a business that needs to survive, not just something which I enjoy and care about.” Artistic Enterprise 2018 course participant

There is no financial charge for this course. If you are an emerging artist aged 18-30 and would like to attend, please email Selina at selina@gcfoundation.co.uk to find out more.
